'Y Bwthyn Bach'
'Y Bwthyn Bach' (The Little Cottage) is a newly renovated barn on a working small holding, in the heart of the Gwent countryside. The property overlooks the country estate of Cefntilla, former home of Lord Raglan and is situated midway between Usk (The Town of Flowers) and Raglan with its magnificent castle. The Offa's Dyke Path, the Newport to Brecon canal and the Blaenavon Mining Museum are all close at hand.
The property is detached, graded 4* by Visit Wales, with all rooms on the same level. Car parking is immediately outside the front door. Y Bwthyn Bach has a single double bedroom, with a wall mounted TV. Bathroom facilities include a walk-in shower. The kitchen has all modern and new appliances, including a washing machine. The kitchen area has a breakfast bar and the lounge patio doors lead onto a spacious south facing verandah with sun loungers and bench.
Road links are excellent; both Cardiff and Bristol can be reached within the hour. The market town of Abergavenny is 15 minutes away and serves as a gateway to The Brecon Beacons National Park. The area is steeped in history; close at hand is the Roman Legion Fortress town of Caerleon, with its museum and amphitheatre. It also has the castles of Grosmont, Skenfrith, Raglan and Whitecastle.
